RaceRigControl

Last updated: 11 July 2026 (added aggregate usage counters)

The short version

RaceRigControl is a desktop app. Your leaderboards, lap times, driver names and telemetry stay on your computer — we never see them, and the app has no way to send them to us. The only personal data we hold is the email address you register with, and we use it solely to operate your license. No analytics, no advertising, no marketing emails, no cookies on this site, and we never sell or share your data.

Who we are

RH Consulting ("we") makes RaceRigControl and operates racerigcontrol.com. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact: privacy@racerigcontrol.com.

What we collect, and why

DataWhenWhy (lawful basis)
Your email address When you register on this site or in the app To create and manage your license, verify you own the address (one-time code), and send you the download links you asked for — necessary to provide the service you requested (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), contract).
License check-ins: your email, a random license identifier, the app version and operating system (macOS/Windows), with a timestamp Periodically while the app runs (roughly daily), and when you press "Re-check now" To keep your license valid for offline use and prevent abuse of the free tier (Art. 6(1)(b) contract and Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest). No location, hardware fingerprint or content is included.
Aggregate usage counters, sent with those check-ins: how many times the app has been opened, and per-rig lifetime totals of laps recorded and hours connected to the sim Same check-ins as above To understand whether and how much the app is used, so we can prioritise product development (Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest). These are the same numbers shown to you on the app's Rigs page — counts and durations only, never lap times, driver names, tracks, cars or any session content. You can object at any time (see Your rights) and we'll stop recording them for your license.
Standard web server logs (IP address, request time) When you visit this site or the app contacts our servers Processed transiently by our infrastructure providers to serve requests and protect against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest). We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind.

What we deliberately don't collect

Where your data is stored

Our license database is hosted by Supabase on infrastructure in Japan (which the EU recognises as providing adequate data protection). One-time code emails are delivered by Resend (USA) and this website is served by Cloudflare (global CDN). These providers act as our processors under data-processing agreements, and transfers outside the EEA rely on adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your email and license exist for as long as your license does. License check-in records are kept for up to 24 months for abuse prevention, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your license, we remove your email and all associated records; the app on your machine keeps working with local data, but licensed features (adding rigs) will lapse.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (and similar laws elsewhere) you can ask us at any time to:

Email privacy@racerigcontrol.com from your registered address and we'll act within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

The download service isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly hold their data. (Drivers of any age can appear on a leaderboard — that data lives only on the machine of whoever runs the rig, who is responsible for it.)

Changes

If we ever collect more than described here (for example, when paid licenses arrive), we'll update this page and its date before doing so.
